TU Student Shows Beauty in Math

Hannah Strickler, as a freshman Exercise Science major. explored fractals in Investigations in Mathematics.  “I was fascinated by the intricacies and detail of fractals and the complexity and expansiveness of the Fibonacci sequence. After learning about these topics, I found myself stopping throughout my day to look around for them in nature and in art. I have always found nature beautiful. Before this class, I would have never used “math”and“beautiful” in the same sentence. One thing I’ve learned from this course is that seeing math as beautiful is a way we can experience more of the fullness of God and the beauty of his creation. Seeing the beauty of fractals and learning about the details of the Fibonacci sequence opens our eyes to intentional works of our Creator and reminds us that He cares about the smallest details of our lives.”
