Abby Pyle and Clay Vander Kolk, both junior mathematics education majors, presented research related to the use of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Principles to Actions Toolkit at both the Indiana Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) conference (February 9) and the Indiana Mathematics Education Research Symposium (IMERS – March 12). Abby and Clay analyzed survey data that had been generated from mathematics courses taught at Taylor in Spring 2020 to the Elementary Education majors. They worked in collaboration with an effort from the Hoosier Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (HAMTE) including Dr. Patrick Eggleton (TU) and Dr. Barbara Johnson (IUPUI).
