I had a really great experience student teaching in Bolivia. Some of my greatest joys were hanging out and building relationships with my students, living with an amazing host family that shared their city and life with me, and getting to travel in Bolivia and Peru. I met some great people and got to experience many new and different things. I even took advantage of the opportunity to go to the Salar de Uyuni and Machu Picchu!
While I met and hung out with many great people, the community was still a challenge because there existed a language barrier with my Bolivian friends and a stage of life barrier with my fellow teachers. Through it all, God continued to affirm in my heart His calling on my life. Specifically, that I want to work at the intersection of adventure, youth, and ministry. God is doing amazing work around the world. Don’t be afraid to step out in faith and experience the beauty and difficulty that exists in sharing the joy of the Gospel with people different from yourself.
